Color blindness simlulator: Color Oracle
Color blindness simlulator: Color Oracle
I found a color blindness simulator that takes a snapshot of your entire screen and shows you a close estimate of what it looks like to a color blind person. It is called Color Oracle, it works for Windows, Mac and Linux, and you can find it here on colororacle.org. The one major downside is that it does not work with moving images or any kind of interaction.

This might tool prove handy for people that make designs with functional colors, such as color-coded characters in games.

RE: Color blindness simlulator: Color Oracle
Interesting, i\'ll check that out sometime. My dad is actually colorblind and i always wondered how he sees everything. (Like yesterday i had dyed my hair a light lavender purple color and my dad said: i like how your hair is blue at the sides! It\'s not blue anywhere in my hair, the color is just more saturated at some parts, my dad has a hard time distuingishing between green, blue and purple colors).
