For the forum
I would suggest the ability to upload images directly to the forum without the use of url. I am not sure how is the situation and if it's not hard to enable it here. But I find it to be a very good feature.

RE: For the forum
Sounds good, we'll add it to our to-do list !
RE: For the forum
That's great!
RE: For the forum
Also an "edit post" option might be useful. :)
RE: For the forum
Yes, we agree! We already had it on our to-do list while making the Forums.. but it didn't complete in time. It's still high on our list!
RE: For the forum
I think the forum needs a studies subsection, where we can post studies we have done and ask for feedback.
RE: For the forum
Studies sounds great! We already have Sketchbooks.. do we really need a separate forum for this?
RE: For the forum
I think it makes sense to separate Studies from Sketchbooks. In studies you could ask for some constructive critics or suggestions for a concrete artwork or study, but in Sketchbooks you're not asking for help, and just share your works. I hope this makes sense.
RE: For the forum
A sketchbook sounds pretty fun too. But that'll expand the website to more things than just concept art, which might or might not be a good thing. Up to now I really enjoyed all the people being here and quite a few good ones as well, so I'd love to get feedback on stuff I put a bit more time in :).

That reminds me of Conpertart.org, where they have separate subforums for sketchbooks, finished art, and requesting art critiques (and a few more categories less relevant here). You could indeed consider splitting up art showcasing (both sketches and finished) and art critique requesting (which would also include WIPs). Studies could fit in either category depending on whether the artist is actively looking for feedback.

I'm not quite sure whether splitting up or keeping them together would be better for the CAS forums.
RE: For the forum
The critique center I believe is more for a separate piece that gives you trouble so you want critique, while the sketchbook is for mileage and to receive overall critiques on your progress and so on.
RE: For the forum
Yeah of course, makes sense. I did not spend as much time on CA.org as I would have liked.
RE: For the forum
You should. The critique center there is especially helpful. But don't stop there. I would also recommend crimson daggers and even the imaginefx forum.
RE: For the forum
Thanks for the recommendations!

That reminds me of Conpertart.org- "Raizin"

Oops, I meant Conceptart.org, of course.
RE: For the forum
Looking at your discussion it sounds like a good idea to add a separate forum category called something like "Art work". This category could then contain 3 forums: "Sketchbooks", "Studies" and "Critique Center" (don't know if that last naming is domain of Conceptart.org or if it's more commonly used?).

Thank you for discussing this topic, it really helps !
